How to Change Business Hours on Apple Business

Sign in to Apple Business, choose Brands → Locations, select the location, edit its normal or special hours, and save. For one date or a short date range, use temporary hours rather than changing the normal week. The customer-facing listing is the location’s Apple Maps place card.

Update the right location

  1. Sign in at Apple Business with a user whose role permits location management. Complete the applicable organization/location setup if you do not yet manage the listing.
  2. In the browser, choose Brands → Locations. Search for the correct address and select it.
  3. Find the location’s hours information. Edit Normal hours for a lasting weekly change, or Special hours for the exception. Apple’s attributes guide explains the available hour types.
  4. Review the location and select Save. Check the place card preview, then check the public Apple Maps result separately.

Feature availability and access depend on the account and region. If you cannot manage the location, have its administrator confirm your role and location access. Don’t create a duplicate place card to bypass an access problem.

Temporary hours versus service hours

Apple distinguishes normal hours, special service hours and temporary hours. Service hours describe a service such as a drive-through; they are not a substitute for a whole-location closure.

Temporary hours can cover a single day or a date range, with start and end dates. For a shorter day, provide the open period: if normal hours are 09:00–17:00 and you will only open 10:00–12:00, enter 10:00–12:00. Do not enter the intervals when you are closed. Mark an entirely closed date as closed.

Check the public result and the matching website

The place card preview helps check the entry, but it is not proof every customer view has updated. This guide does not establish a guaranteed hours-publication delay. Apple also documents suggested changes to location status and hours; review alerts rather than assuming the saved information can never change.

Match the exception on your website’s hours notice, and check Facebook or Bing if customers use those listings. An Apple edit does not perform those other edits for you. When the exception ends, verify the normal schedule and remove any stale text notices elsewhere.

Need the same change beyond Apple Maps?

Apple Business gives you a manual way to update the location. HoursBeacon is testing a narrower temporary-hours workflow for the repeated edits elsewhere. Google comes first and a website component is planned; Apple integration is not available or promised by this preview.

Try the HoursBeacon preview — no real hours are updated.
