How to Change Today's Google Business Hours Without Changing Your Regular Schedule
Use special hours for the affected date when today’s opening or closing time is an exception. Editing the regular weekly schedule makes a different change: it describes a normal week. You do not need a paid tool to make this edit.
The free manual route
In your managed Google Business Profile, open Edit profile → Hours → Special hours, add today’s date, enter its opening and closing times (or mark the date closed), and save. The profile needs Open with main hours for special hours to appear.
For example, if a café normally runs 10:30–19:00 but closes at 15:00 today, enter today’s full period as 10:30–15:00. Avoid treating “15:00” as a standalone opening-hours entry.
Before you finish
Have the actual date and intended schedule in front of you. If someone else manages the profile, agree which person will make the change so you do not submit contradictory edits. After saving, check both the managed profile and the public customer view. A saved edit and its public display are separate observations; don’t tell customers it is visible until you have checked.
If the business has more than one opening period, preserve the periods that still apply. Do not simplify a lunch break into a continuous day just because an example uses one interval. The demo on this site covers one same-day period; it is not a tool for split or overnight schedules.
Then check the other places customers look
A website notice may still say you close at 19:00. A Facebook Page or booking page may carry another time. Write one clear notice with the date, closing time and expected next opening, and check each destination you use. Update the information customers will actually read, not every directory you can find.
The repeated-work problem starts here: the same temporary change has to be explained in several places. HoursBeacon is testing a shorter workflow for that job. It is Coming Soon; today’s useful option is the manual route above.

Need the same temporary change on your website?
Google's manual edit is free. HoursBeacon is being built for the repeated part: one temporary change across customer-facing destinations. Google comes first and a website component is planned. There is no live sync or installable widget yet.
Try the HoursBeacon preview — no real hours are updated.
