How to Change Business Hours on Bing Places
In Bing Places for Business, edit the listing’s Hours and save if you manage it directly. If it is linked to Google Business Profile, update Google and sync with Bing instead: Microsoft’s current help says direct dashboard editing is unavailable for linked listings. Neither route guarantees an immediate public update.
For a directly managed listing
- Sign in at Bing Places for Business. Find the correct existing listing rather than creating another copy.
- Complete the available ownership verification if required. Microsoft says editing may be limited until verification is complete.
- Select your listing and Edit, then find Hours. Enter the times customers can visit. The hours menu supports separate periods for a split day and a 24/7 option when appropriate.
- Review the information and choose Save to begin publishing. Check the dashboard status and the live Bing listing separately.
For a Google-linked listing
Update the source listing in Google, then use the Google Business Profile sync controls in Bing Places. Microsoft’s import instructions offer weekly, biweekly or monthly synchronization. The next scheduled sync is not an urgent same-day delivery guarantee.
The import documentation says hours of operation may be included, but it does not prove that every dated Google exception maps exactly to Bing. Check the actual published date and hours. Import can also create duplicates; if a listing is marked Duplicate, Microsoft’s FAQ says its editor is disabled. Claim the published listing or request access from its account owner.
Regular hours, temporary changes and delays
A changed normal week belongs in the weekly schedule. For a holiday or one-day closure, use a dated exception control if your account provides it, and check what it will publish. The current general editing article does not document a universal special-hours picker, so this guide does not invent one. If you edit weekly hours for a temporary change, record the original schedule and arrange restoration.
Bing validates basic fields against trusted external data. Conflicting hours may fail to publish or be overwritten. Its FAQ gives a 7–12 day processing window for updates, plus further display delay, and warns repeated edits during processing can delay publication.
For an unexpected early close, publish a dated website notice and update the platforms regular customers check while Bing processes the submission. A save, a sync and a customer-visible result are different observations. Keep track of each, then verify the normal hours when the exception ends.

Still updating your website separately?
Bing's Google import covers one part of the job. HoursBeacon is being built for a focused temporary change across customer-facing destinations, starting with Google and a planned website component. Bing support is not live; the preview does not submit any edits.
Try the HoursBeacon preview — no real hours are updated.
Frequently asked questions
Why can't I edit a Google-linked Bing listing?
Microsoft currently says direct dashboard editing is unavailable for Google-linked listings. Update the listing in Google and sync it with Bing Places.
Will a same-day change appear immediately?
Do not rely on it. Bing's FAQ says updates can take 7–12 days to process, with additional time to appear after publishing. Use a directly controlled dated website notice for an urgent change.
